| CASARA and the MilitaryCASARA is funded largely by the Canadian Military and partially by Transport Canada, all parts of the federal Government of Canada. Many of our operations are based on tried and tested military experience, with training guidance often coming directly from senior navigators, pilots and crew. Operations are often joint either in actual searches, search exercises (SAREX's) or direct work with military pilots as in Hercules intercept testing.
Extended training with 8 Wing in Trenton is available also for more advanced SAR leadership and organizing skills. The Herc works in coordination with privately owned CASARA airplanes and RCMP and Natural Resource helicopters in SAR ops as well as Ground Search and Rescue (GSAR). Set for departure!
